2. How we use it

The information we collect is used only for the following purposes:

  • Creating and managing your account and running online classes.
  • Matching a learner with a suitable teacher and arranging session times.

  • Supporting users and responding to their requests.
  • Analysing and improving the quality of the service and the platform experience.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

  • TeachyTalk uses cookies to keep you signed in, remember your settings (dark mode, for instance) and improve your experience of the site.
  • Analytics tools may be used to understand how the site is used; that data is analysed in aggregate and cannot identify you.
  • You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site — signing in, for example — may then stop working properly.

4. Sharing with third parties

TeachyTalk does not sell users’ personal information.

Data is shared only in the following limited cases:

  • With the payment gateway, to process financial transactions securely.
  • With infrastructure services such as web hosting and the online classroom, only as far as providing the service requires.

5. Security and retention

  • Your connection to the site is encrypted over HTTPS.
  • Access to user information is limited to the people who need it in order to provide the service.

As a TeachyTalk user, you have the right to:

  • access the personal information held about you.
  • ask for information that is wrong or incomplete to be corrected.
  • ask for your account and personal data to be deleted, as far as legal requirements allow.
